Job Purpose
Drive a company pickup truck and collect industrial wastewater samples and drinking water samples using sampling equipment, deliver and pickup ice chests with sample containers to and from client locations in Southern California.
Duties
- Setup and pick up automated samplers at Clients' sites for wastewater collection
- Collect drinking water samples from well heads and other sampling points
- Use of computerized system for scheduling and data entry
- Enter information in computer database as per required tests
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures and high ethical standards
- Keep all customer information confidential
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management and work in a team environment under time constrains
- Perform miscellaneous job duties in support of Sample Control Department
Skills/Qualifications
- High School diploma, some college level courses in the area of sciences would be preferred
- CA State Operators License at the minimum level T1 or D1
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules, may include weekends
- Good typing, data entry and communication skills
- Detail oriented, being able to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to lift and place in the truck ice chests up to a weight of 50 lbs.
- HAZWOPPER certifications (part of initial training)
This is a full time position; day shift, with schedule to be arranged with supervisor. Initial training will be provided.
